FORCES
– balance the beam. Find out that a small force can balance a larger force. And that this ‘scientific discovery’ has
been used for hundreds of years in the creation of weapons such as the
‘catapult’ and ‘trebuchet’ (middle age weapons of siege). Find out about FRICTION - why it is
useful and a problem too! Simulations are used to assist
understanding. The activity can be used in whole class,
one to one or small group learning situations with the digital projector or
PC screens. |
