Ed’s Online Learning Resources

Still learning after all these years!

After years programming in various dialects of BASIC I find a useful authoring package – thanks DW, C2k and Hot Potatoes  !

Teachers CAN share!

Greetings – This site contains sample (trial) learning materials for primary, secondary and third level studies.

I’m Ed and have been teaching/lecturing for 30 years – maths and things scientific!

I found the computer to be a useful tool if used properly – it doesn’t replace the teacher but can be a powerful resource!

A ‘thinking’ teacher’s  OHP!

All files (except the crosswords – Hot Potatoes and the BBC files)) were created using OPUS PRO and FLEX – www.digitalworkshop.com   Most images were created in MS Paint and modified in Photoshop.

The activities are suitable for one to one, small group and (my favourite) whole class teaching - with the digital projector! The text size and colour balance should be appropriate for most situations.

Now – thanks to a Mr. Richard Russell (who has been involved with various aspects of BASIC programming and with the BBC Microcomputer for many years) I can make available software which was originally written in BBC Basic for use on today’s PC’s .
